Prepare American workers for AI’s impact through training, literacy, and workforce data.
A genuinely active, multi-part rollout rather than a single action: DOL released an AI Literacy Framework, launched a "Make America AI-Ready" training course, partnered with the National Science Foundation on the TechAccess initiative, and began integrating AI skills into Registered Apprenticeship programs, all stemming from the White House’s July 2025 "AI Action Plan." The centerpiece — a dedicated AI Workforce Hub to track AI’s labor-market impact — was still described as "not yet launched" as of his July 2026 confirmation hearing, a year after DOL first announced the initiative, with no firm date given beyond "super big" ambitions. Real programs shipped; the flagship piece is still pending.
